Meet our Owners & Master Stylists — Heather Cosier and Laurel Francis

Heather was born in Yellowknife, NWT & raised in Calgary, Alberta. Upon graduating high school, Heather attended the Alberta College of Art & Design (now Alberta University of the Arts), where she studied for her BFA majoring in Drawing. During her time at ACAD, Heather got her start in the beauty industry working for MAC Cosmetics as a make-up artist.

Because of her background in Fine Arts, it’s no wonder Heather naturally gravitated to hair as a medium. In 2016, Heather enrolled at the Aveda Institute in Calgary, and has been growing her craft behind the chair ever since. Heather specializes in blondes, balayage, bridal, and make-up.

The name Rozelle Collective comes from the neighbourhood that Heather lived in on her working holiday visa in Sydney, Australia in 2015

Laurel was born and raised in Calgary AB, her passion for art and all things beauty started at a young age while participating in art classes and growing up in the age of social media. Once she graduated from high school, she took a different route and started full time work in construction where she closely watched her father navigate the ins and outs of business. After 6 years in the construction industry, she went to hair school and graduated top of her class in June of 2022. While the beauty industry wasn’t always where Laurel pictured herself, she has fallen into it quite seamlessly. Her drive and willingness to learn has excelled her into the position of wanting to grow her own business and follow in her father’s footsteps.

Laurel values the culture of her business and educating new stylists in the industry above all else. Although young and new to the industry, Laurel is well rounded and ready to take on the world

Teresa Linton — Stylist

Teresa is originally from BC, but she’s been calling Calgary home for the past 4 years. Her journey in the hair industry started with attending hair school in Kelowna and a year-long apprenticeship.

When Teresa is not working, you'll find her in the mountains, whether she’s rock climbing, hiking, or snowboarding. Teresa is really passionate about foil work, creating low-maintenance, lived-in looks, and stunning blonde transformations.

As a kid, Teresa was always into painting, which influenced her love for doing hair. She has a special interest in curly/wavy hair because she struggled with styling her own curly hair growing up. Now Teresa wants to help others embrace their natural texture. With 5 years in the industry, what keeps Teresa going is the constant learning and growth that comes with this career. Ultimately, her goal is to help people look and feel their best.

Brooke Bruce — Junior Stylist

Brooke recently moved to Calgary from the small town of Brooks, Alberta, and she couldn't be happier or more excited about what her future in Calgary and Rozelle holds. She was always the "hairstylist" friend of the group growing up, often getting calls from friends to curl or braid their hair. She graduated from Delmar College in March but has been in the beauty industry for the last six years.

Brooke loves hanging out with her friends and is constantly on the go. Her favorite class was art growing up, so much so that she convinced her principal to let her take it twice in Grade 12, which was unheard of before. This is what I have so far, I’d like to say something about how i would like to get my hands in more color but im not sure how to word that

Caitlin Adharsingh — Apprentice

Caitlin is a born and raised Calgarian. Her family loves all things outdoors - traveling, camping, day-trips to the lake, and all sorts of hands-on activities. They never had much interest in the latest beauty trends but that’s where Caitlin found her outlet for expression. Even though her family didn’t fully understand the hairstyles and makeup Caitlin was experimenting with, they supported her and what brought her joy. She is grateful to have grown up with a family that encouraged her journey, enabling her to further her education and future career in hairstyling.

Caitlin has always had a fascination with all things beauty, and decided to pursue a career at a salon where she eventually started managing. Throughout her time there, she decided to broaden her scope and completed a diploma in Makeup Artistry. However, seeing the stylists at work, and the happy guests leaving, was an incomparable feeling. She wanted to take part in it.

Today, Caitlin is attending Delmar Hair College, learning theory and foundations of the art, and apprenticing at Rozelle, putting her knowledge to use and absorbing as much as possible from the seasoned stylists.
